Former “Bachelor” contestant, Gia Allemand tragically committed suicide last week and new details are emerging on the reality TV star, that suggest bullying played a role in her death.

According to tweets from Gia two year ago, she admitted to being a victim of bullying for most of her life.

In October 2011 she posted:

“As a victim of being bullied most of my life, I’m gonna say that people who can say mean things to other people and put them down are just insecure and depressed with their own life!  Glad my momma always told me ‘if you don’t have something nice to say than don’t say it.

She also re-tweeted:

“Words Hurt.  Pain Lasts.   And suicide last forever.”

And last year in October she responded to another tweet that mentioned a 16-year-old Canadian girl,  Amanda Todd, who hanged herself earlier that year after being bullied.

In related news Gia’s public visitation and funeral dates have been announced. A public visitation will be held Wednesday Aug. 21 from 2PM to 5PM and 7PM to 9PM at Papavero Funeral Home in Maspeth, NY. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Grace Church of Chelsea in New York City at 11AM the following day on Thursday, Aug. 22.

The late Bachelor alum’s mother Donna Micheletti released a tribute video and obituary on the funeral home’s website. The obituary reads:

“Loving girlfriend ‘Petrie’ of Ryan ‘Snuggy’ Anderson, beloved daughter and little princess of Donna Micheletti and stepdaughter of Tony Micheletti, loving sister of Dylan and Erick, most cherished granddaughter of Marie (Nonna) Coltrinari, devoted Godchild of Fred and Annemarie Coltrinari, dear cousin of Brian, Ellen, Kevin and Julie, and also survived by her dear dog Bentley,”

Judging from Gia’s tweets, she clearly had strong feelings against bullying but it’s yet to be determined for sure what led to her death.

Our prayer and condolences are with her family.
