R&B superstar Ne-Yo, together with comedic genius Kevin Hart, hosted the second annual “Fostering A Legacy” benefit in the Hamptons this weekend.
The event was put together by The Compound Foundation, an organization which aims to provide children in foster care with resources that would not be otherwise available to them.
The event took place beyond the gates of a sprawling East Hampton estate, where hundreds of guests and a number of celebrities gathered to wine, dine and give back. The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour as celebrities and honorees hit the red carpet to pose for the paparazzi. Guests mingled amongst themselves surrounded by lavish cars provided by one of the evening’s sponsors, Porsche.
As cocktail hour came to an end, guests were moved to the dining area to learn more about The Compound Foundation, Ne-Yo’s charity organization, and enjoy a beautiful meal prepared by Chef Roble. As dinner was served, Kevin and Ne-Yo took the stage and hilarity ensued. Kevin brought the laughs while Ne-Yo attempted to stick to the TelePrompTer readings provided.
Celebrity photographer Johnny Nunez, who was once a child in foster care, and Cartoon Network COO Stuart Snyder, the father of an adopted child, were honored by the foundation for overcoming adversity and rising to the top. Following the awards, attendees were given the option to donate to the foundation by purchasing balloons and participating in raffles. Estelle and many more took to the stage and brought the house down as guests took the opportunity to unwind and cut loose.
