Well this wouldn’t be the first time Law & Order: SVU portrayed a real life case.
Actress Cybill Shepard is playing a George Zimmerman-like character on the TV show in an episode that is set to air soon.
Earlier today, Shepard was seen filming at the Supreme Court in New York City alongside Arrested Development actor Jeffrey Tambor, who is playing one of her lawyers.
Loosely based on the actual case where Zimmerman was tried in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Shepard’s character has also shot a black teenage boy named Mehcad.
When her character leaves the court, she is greeted by outraged protestors holding “I Am Mehcad” signs as well as dozens of reporters asking her questions.
