Hide your kids and your wife…George Zimmerman is on the prowl for a new gun.

The former neighborhood watch volunteer was spotted at a gun manufacturing company asking questions about the legality of buying a shotgun on Thursday.

The Cocoa, Florida company Kel-Tec is the same manufacturer that made the PF-9 pistol Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon Martin last year.

Maybe he has a preference?

According to TMZ:

The gun in question is a tactical shotgun, often used for home defense.  It holds 12 rounds of 12 gauge shells.

While at the Kel-Tec headquarters, the owner’s son took Zimmerman on a tour of the grounds, including the area where the firearms are assembled. It hasn’t been confirmed whether Zimmerman actually bought the $1,197 shotgun while he was there, but he was definitely interested.

Is it safe to say it’s a little too soon to be in a gun store smiling ear to ear? We’re just saying…
