Yesterday was a tough day for our boy Lamar Odom.
Lamar was seen sporting his wedding ring amidst cheating rumors, the paparazzi harassed him for answers about his alleged drug abuse while he ordered tacos at Taco Bell, and the LA Clippers made a permanent decision not to resign him. (Click here if you missed that whole fiasco!)
The good news is that the amazing people over at the LA Lakers have our guy in mind.
Reportedly, the legendary team – where Lamar used to play – will offer him his old spot back on one condition – he goes to rehab IMMEDIATELY. Mitch Kupchak, the general manger of the LA Lakers, explained that their team is a family and as Lam Lam is a 2-time Lakers champion, they are worried about him and want to see to it that he recovers.
A source revealed to RadarOnline that Mitch told Lamar’s agent Jeff Schwartz:
“Because the organization and the Buss family are extremely concerned about him. The Lakers are a family and even though Lamar isn’t currently on their roster, that doesn’t matter, he’s a two-time championship Laker. Lamar needs to go to rehab and he’s been told by the team that if he goes and completes treatment, there’ll be a spot for him.”
If it’s true and Lamar is having an issue with drugs – though this whole situation is totally fishy to us – this is not a bad deal at all. According to the rumors, his drug of choice may be crack cocaine, OxyContin, or other prescription drugs.
Lamar has always been a Laker at heart – this is great incentive to get him back on track!
