Venus Williams stepped onto the court at the U.S. Open in New York sporting an interestingly hued ‘do. The part-time fashionista took a cue from her younger days, rocking a throwback set of cornrows with the colors fuchsia and pink incorporated into the braids, and matching her manicure to boot.
At one point during the match, Venus let the back of her bold cornrows hang in a Rapunzel-esque loose braid, but considering the intensity of this tennis match – we know why Williams opted for a more relaxed braided bun style throughout.
Alongside her daring ‘do, Venus wore a similar colored floral printed ensemble from her own Eleven workout collection.
What are your thoughts on Venus’ funky fuchsia braids?
And if you were wondering, unfortunately Venus lost the match to Zheng Jie of China.
