Back again with the weekly tracks that need to be blazing your iPod, car stereos or whatever audio vessel you get your musical fix from. Are you familiar with Sevyn Streeter? Before you shake your head, if you’ve heard Alicia Keys “New Day,” Chris Brown’s “Strip” or Tamar Braxton’s “All The Way Home,” you’ve been touched by Seyn’s magic. She’s a talented songwriter who has penned hit after hit. Now she’s about to do it big with her solo. Peep her latest, which is actually a remix, It “Won’t Stop.” It features Chris Breezy…

One of the dopest record just starting to get burn is that new Pusha T joint “Sweet Serenade” featuring Chris Breezy Brown. The beat is courtesy of Mr Monsta himself Swizz Beats, so you already know. But when you’re talking about Pusha T, you’re talking about bars. He is most definitely on his Ric Flair shit on this track. No rapper feature needed on “Sweet Serenade,” just 3 precise verses from VA’s grimiest, layered around 3 melodic hooks from VA’s finest.

During one of my late night travels this week, I heard this new joint by Ty Dolla $ign, which features B.o.B., called “Paranoid.” The beat on this, courtesy of DJ Mustard, is a can’t miss. This is a funny song that definitely has its place in the club. Don’t be surprised if “Paranoid” takes off, especially, in the west coast and then catches steam nationally.

Talk about a swag record, and speaking of B.o.B, Young Dro’s new song “FDB”  is guaranteed to get the riot started. It’s not enough that the song has the potential to be an anthem  due to its raunchy simplicity (“FDB” stands for fuck dat bitch). Its a manifesto that can be applied to haters, your boss, a guy or girl, your most hated gridiron foe, etc. Yes, it’s one of those everyday life swag records. Dro brings out the firepower too. “FDB” features B.o.B., Wale and Mr Sosa himself, Chief Keef. WARNING: you may hear this record coming out of car stereo’s coming down your block in a hood near you!

Big K.R.I.T. is one of the most slept on rappers in hip-hop. He’s not your typical southern trap rapper with a limited rhyme book. He is one of those MCs that spit street tales along everyday gems. Simply put, whenever you hear K.R.I.T. rhyme, he’s saying something that probably needed to be said. When I saw this new record that featured him and Future called “Just Last Week,” I new fans where in for a treat. Let’s see what Def Jam does with this. “Just Last Week” could be a sleeper hit in the making.
