Styles come, styles go. But despite fashion’s ever revolving door, there are those few fortunate trends that have been lucky enough to be inducted into fashion’s hall of fame as immortal.

Polka dots are one. Leopard another. And now, camouflage has joined the patterned ranks of iconic fashion.

Although the camo fad is nothing new, a more modern view of the army fatigue has already been spied invading the Fall 2013 runways of Donna Karan, Michael Kors and Christopher Kane. Likewise, it has been seen on the celebrity world’s trend commander Rihanna, and is ridden all over her latest River Island collection.

But what’s so alluring about camouflage, you ponder? Well, the atypically masculine fabric is absolutely endless in its versatility. Camouflage posses the ability to transition from edgy to sophisticated to feminine in seconds with uncomplicated ease. However, it all depends on how you style it.

For a girlier feel, pair a tailored camo jacket atop a dress with a flirty silhouette mixed with feminine colored jewels and heels. Or rock a fitted pencil skirt with the print emblazoned on it; combine it with a sheer blouse and lady-like accessories.

If being girly is not your steez, edge things up by rocking a roomy camo anorak with a pair of worn-in ripped denim and an over-sized tee.

And for a sophisticated camo ensemble, sport a fitted trouser with a blazer, topping it off with a pair of neon colored heels. Or rock a basic colored dress with a utility jacket, and add a belt that will allow you to pull all the elements together.

If all else fails, accessorize like it’s nobody’s business. Incorporate the print into your wardrobe in doses by doing some simple accessorizing with camo handbags, backpacks and even shoes.

Instead of the print causing you to fade in the backdrop, using these tips will allow you to stand out and remain fiercely fabulous while doing so.
