It’s seems Lamar Odom isn’t the only baller having drug issues.

NY Knick player, JR Smith was hit with a 5-game suspension for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy and although the league did not detail the nature of the “drug” use, Yahoo! Sports reported that the player tested positive for marijuana.

JR  was already expected to miss 12 to 16 weeks because of his recent injury, and his 5-game suspension will start once he’s cleared to play again.

Damn homie!

Ron Klempner, the acting executive director of the National Basketball Players Association, said in a statement:

“There is a collectively-bargained process in place, established by the NBA and the Players Association, and until that process has played itself out, it would be inappropriate for the NBA or J.R. to make further statements about the matter. We all look forward to a resolution in due course.”

But don’t feel too bad for this guy. During the off season he signed a three year extension with the team worth $17 milli.

Still winning!
