Canada, why won’t ya’ll let Danny Brown be great?

The rapper has an album coming out — called OLD — this fall, and he’s trying to promote it. But Canada won’t let him. Danny recently went to Twitter to vent his frustrations about not being able to get into Canada for his 2 High 2 Die tour with Action Bronson.

Now there’s a petition on Activism.com that’s trying to help “bruh bruh” out:

“This is a petition to the Canadian Customs/Government to allow Danny Brown, culturally-significant hip-hop artist from Detroit, MI into the country to perform. He has been denied entry both before AND after filing AND PAYING FOR all necessary paperwork for such.

Danny Brown is of significant cultural importance within the music community, and has many, many fans of his work in this country. He is not a significant threat to the security of our nation, and I feel that his entry denial is unfair, biased, and potentially racially motivated.”

There’s only 185 signatures (out of 10,000) so ya’ll Danny Brown fans need to get crackin.’

Danny hasn’t talked about why he can’t get in Canada, but we suspect that it has something to do with the case he caught in 2007, in which he did eight months in jail.

Sign the petition, people.
