Are you ready for some football? A Monday night party? Or a Sunday evening keg fest?

Yes? OK great, it’s time to get rowdy.

With football season in full swing, it’s only right we give you the foolproof guide to tailgating 101. In life, there are right and wrong ways to do things, and when it comes to tailgating, there is a way to mess it up (it’s hard, but VERY possible).

So we rounded up 12 great ways to ensure your tailgating experience is memorable and super turned up. Check out our tailgating tips below.

1. Come up with a plan of action. Seasoned tailgaters always come prepared.

Mainly because you don’t want to forget anything essential…like…BEER

Because beer and…

tailgate are basically one in the same.

2. Make sure you get to the parking lot early….maybe not 5:30 a.m. but 3 to 4 hours before the game is good.

3. Bring some shelter. In the beginning of football season it will still be scorching hot, make sure you bring a tent to block the sun and minimize your sunburn.

4. Bring good food…no frozen burgers or chicken.  Good BBQ is an integral part of tailgating.

5. Don’t forget to bring a little extra food, because there will be stragglers who tailgate without food. SMH

6. OH! And find a good parking spot.

7. Bring some jams…jams are good.

Jams at the tailgate will have you dancing like…

8. Kick off a good competitive game of beer pong.

9. When it comes to drinking…pace yourself.

Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Drink in moderation.

10. If you start feeling white girl wasted…don’t be afraid to grab a water.

11. Please, please, please, make friends with your tailgate neighbors.

12. This is very important: make friends with the cops (the feds will be watching).

Hopefully, by the end of all the tailgate madness you’ll be like THIS at the big game.
