Willow Smith helped Queen Latifah kick off the first season of her brand new talk show The Queen Latifah Show with a performance of her Melodic Chaotic summer banger “Summer Fling.”
The 12-year-old singer addressed the critics who denounced her summer-inspired track because of “fling” being perceived as a sexual innuendo. In an English accent, Willow stated:
“Just for clarity. The word fling means something that’s short lived, and this song is dedicated to all the kids around the world whose summers are never long enough.”
We still don’t know when Willow will drop her debut album, but in the meantime, enjoy her performance in the video up top.
