The League of Young Voters is at it again and in the wake of both the Navy Yard massacre and last night’s mass shooting in Chicago that wounded 13, they have gathered to discuss the state of gun violence in our nation…and how to curb it for good.

Today at Washington D.C.’s famous Bus Boys & Poets, the League of Young Voters No Guns Allowed campaign/partnership with Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg have rounded up the best of the best to discuss how to be anti-violence (rather than anti-gun), as violence stems from gun misuse and exploitation.

In this conversation, moderated by the Executive Director of the League of Young Voters, Dr. Rob “Biko” Baker, influential community leaders, political tastemakers and key members of media will discuss practical solutions to eliminate gun violence which greatly affects our world.  This is the League of Young Voters’ fourth No Guns Allowed discussion, a national campaign with entertainment icon Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg. The initiative was inspired by Snoop’s pro-peace “No Guns Allowed” single from his reggae-influenced Reincarnated album. The song’s message inspired the League of Young Voters to partner with Snoop Lion for this anti-gun violence platform to proactively stress the importance of putting the guns down.

Watch in real time as Sammie Dow, (National Director, NAACP Youth and College Division) Rahiel Tesfamariam, (Columnist, Washington Post; Founder/Editor-In-Chief, Urban Cusp) Daniel Maree, (Executive Director & Founder of Millions Hoodies for Justice) Jamira Burley, (Executive Director, Philadelphia Youth Commission) and Anton House, (Graduate Student, Howard University) examine the underlying triggers of gun violence in America.
