Egypt state TV says the Egyptian court has banned the Muslim Brotherhood group and ordered its assets confiscated in an escalation of a crackdown by the military-backed government against supporters of the ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi. The group was outlawed for most of it’s 85 years in existence, but in 2011 after Mubarak was ousted, it was allowed to work openly and form a political party. [HuffPost]
