Nothing’s been the same since “Control.”

A line in the sand has officially been drawn. Ever since Big Sean released his bonus track “Control” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica, the rap game has changed, and unfortunately, some rappers aren’t over it.

While promoting his new album, Nothing Was The Same, Toronto rapper Drake expressed confusion and aggravation over Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, citing he didn’t understand the motive or purpose of the verse.

Since Drake was obviously annoyed, Kendrick Lamar thought the BET Hip-Hop Cyphers would be the perfect opportunity to push the “Too Much” rapper a little closer to the edge.

Rapping over Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones,” Kendrick slams Drake, rapping:

“Yeah…and nothing’s been the same since they dropped “Control”/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his Pajama Clothes/ Ha-ha jokes on you, high-five…..I’m bulletproof/ Your sh*t’s a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake….”

The BET Hip-Hop Awards airs next Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. EST. Watch a snippet of Kendrick firing shots at Drake in the video below.
