On Thursday afternoon, a woman driving a black Infiniti tried to ram through a White House barricade, sending police on a high-speed chase that ended in gunfire.
The woman, who has been identified as Miriam Carey, 34 years old, who was a dental hygienist living in Stamford, CT, had a young child in the car, was shot and killed by police after trying to flee toward the Capitol grounds. A police officer and a secret service agent were injured as a result of a collision.
