Walter White might have died on television, but he has a very real obituary in his local newspaper.

Superfan David Layman has been a part of the Breaking Bad cult since 2007, when Walter White first appeared on TV.

A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Layman and members of the Facebook group “Unofficial Breaking Bad Fan Tour” decided to pay tribute to White and place an obituary for White in today’s Albuquerque Journal.

“I’ve been a humongous ‘Breaking Bad’ fan since the beginning,” Layman said. “I was actually in the pilot, and putting the obit in the paper was fitting, because the series was based in Albuquerque and it provides some of us some closure,” David told his local paper.

Breaking Bad was based and filmed in Albuquerque for six years and ended its five-season run last Sunday.

Layman says that the hit show put Albuquerque on the map.
