With an album dropping just days away, it’s an exciting time for Pusha T.

The G.O.O.D music rapper recently caught up with Rap Up TV to chat some recent events including Kanye’s rant at his album listening party in NYC, Yeezy’s debacle with Jimmy Kimmel and his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar.

On the rapper, who is featured on his upcoming My Name Is My Name, Pusha says:

“Kendrick is an artist who I would classify as the new generation, he’s like the voice of the new generation, I believe.”

It looks like K.Dot might have Push in his corner if things get a little intense with Drake following his BET Cypher verse.

As for his reaction to Kanye getting buck wild at his listening party, Pusha says:

“I didn’t know where that was gonna go, but I was just hoping that everybody taped it and they did. He went on one of his rants. We speak candidly about our perception of the culture and where it is and what we’ve started, what we’ve been innovators of, and what trends we’ve set. I didn’t know he was ready to share that with everybody else.”

And as for his thoughts on ‘Ye getting into with Jimmy Kimmel, he says he’s #teamkanye all the way:

“People just really need to understand that he’s really no nonsense. He’s very passionate about everything he’s telling to the people. Nine times out of 10, he’s enlightening you or showing you the way. I feel like when someone makes light of it, he may take it to heart. I’m Team Kanye. I don’t really care about the other guy.”

Loyalty runs deep in this clique! Check out more from the interview in the video above!
