Sixteen-year-old New Zealand pop starlet Lorde has been taking over the States one city at a time with her smash single “Royals.”
In an effort to promote her debut album, Pure Heroine, Lorde stopped by Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show Ellen to perform her anti-pop anthem.
Over the past few weeks, the seemingly sweet kiwi has been critical of her pop peers like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, noting that Taylor’s “perfect” image is negative for young women.
