A brutal school bus attack caught on tape has led to the arrests of two teenagers who allegedly assaulted two others that attend an alternative high school in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The victim suffered a bloody nose and three chipped teeth. The other victim told authorities that he was also punched by the suspects on the way home from school.

Police say the first suspect, a 16-year-old boy, turned himself in on Tuesday after the video (which can be seen above) went viral. The second suspect turned himself in on Wednesday. Both have been charged with assault and other related offenses.

It will be up to the District Attorney to decide whether they’ll be charged as adults or juveniles.

The attack, which was captured on a smartphone camera and posted to Facebook on Oct. 9, shows Dylan Fonner being punched in the face multiple times. He then asks the driver, who didn’t intervene or call authorities for help, to pull the van over so that he could get off.

Jackee Fonner, Dylan’s mother said, “I wanted to hug my son because I saw him after he got beat up, but then after watching the video, I couldn’t believe it was that bad.”

Neighbor, Judy Bair said, “Why didn’t the bus driver, I can’t understand how he can sit there and see this happen and not put a stop to it? I know things happen on a bus but kids will be kids but this went too far, it really did.”

The two victims have yet to return to school.

“He doesn’t want to go back to school,” Fonner said.

The solicitor for the Delaware County Intermediate Unit also says the school district is undergoing its own review of the case. It’s unclear what will happen to the driver.
