Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are caught up in their first major fight as a couple – fortunately it’s not with each other! KimYe are embroiled in a nasty legal battle over leaked footage of their over-the-top engagement.

Kim and Kanye have filed a lawsuit against Chad Hurley, the founder of YouTube, for filming their big moment during their “intimate” party at AT&T Park in San Francisco last week. Hurley shared the video online after the event and soon after, it was on every major media site.

Hurley shared the video on MixBit – his latest video sharing venture – and tweeted it out to his followers with this message:

Though it seems Chad was just trying to be a good friend, sending well wishes to the newlyweds-to-be, Kim and ‘Ye were anything but pleased.

According to the suit filed by the pair, Hurley wasn’t invited to the event; Kimmy K and Yeezy say he manipulated his way into the ballpark and used the video to garner attention for his new app. The couple said they agreed to allow Chad to stay and enjoy the night with them on the grounds that he sign a non-disclosure agreement and be photographed holding it.

The lawsuit seeks to procure unspecified damages – it does not provide an estimate for how much the video rights to the proposal were actually worth, but still notes that they belong exclusively to MC Cable Television.

Fortunately, Kim and Kanye haven’t let the legal drama kick them off cloud nine. The happy couple have not stopped gushing about their engagement since the big night.
