    LAX shooting

The LAX gunman who went into the airport and shot and killed a TSA agent is currently facing murder charges.

After wounding 2 other agents and a civilian airline passenger, the police eventually shot and arrested him, where he is now awaiting a trial.

According to ABC News, the suspect has had first-degree murder charges filed against him by federal prosecutors, as well as a charge of commission of violence.

    The site reports:

The FBI was still looking into Ciancia’s past, but investigators said they had not found evidence of previous crimes or any run-ins with the TSA. They said he had never applied for a job with the agency.

Authorities believe someone dropped Ciancia off at the airport. Agents were reviewing surveillance tapes to piece together the sequence of events.

“We are really going to draw a picture of who this person was, his background, his history. That will help us explain why he chose to do what he did,” Bowdich said. “At this point, I don’t have the answer on that.”

These charges could mean that the gunman is eligible to face the death penalty if tried for it. Unfortunately, the gunman suffered wounds so bad, that he is now unable to speak

    The site continues:

However, investigators have not been able to speak directly with Ciancia because of wounds he suffered as he was subdued.

“He is receiving medical treatment,” Bowdich said. “I’m not going to talk about his gunshot wounds. At the moment, he is unresponsive and we are unable to talk to him, as of today.”

We pray for the families of the victims of this shooting and hope that justice is served.
