She may be urging you to come and get it, but that doesn’t mean you can bring it home for one night. Selena Gomez has snagged the cover of Teen Vogue’s December/January issue, and she’s making it pretty clear she’s come into her own.

In the interview, the pop star and former gal of Justin Bieber reveals that she’s currently in the mindset of doing whatever she wants to feel “human and normal” as she enters what she calls the “decade of confusion.”

The former Disney gal carried on to say:

“I’m 21, so now I’ve entered the decade of confusion about who I am and what I want to do with my life, and that’s what this entire decade’s going to be.”

Girl, at least you know!

Check out what the beauty had to say in the Teen Vogue interview below.

On how dancing allows her to free herself:

“My attention span is all over the place, and I overthink things,” Gomez said. “I’m an insomniac. Dancing allows me to go away and not have to think of what I’m doing next. That is the opportunity for me to really escape.”

On her relationship with Taylor Swift:

“The difference between Taylor and me is she was sixteen with the confidence of a 25-year-old. Actually, I should say 80-year-old, because she’s such an old soul. I was not that way. I was very sheltered until about eighteen or nineteen. I still live at home, and I’m 21! She does inspire me like crazy, but I wouldn’t change my path, because it allowed me to figure out all that stuff and do it on my own.”

Selena on relationships:

“You fall in love and it completely consumes you, so a part of you is broken when that’s gone. And part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you’re just like, forget it-I can do anything I want. I’ve tried it, and I’ve never been that girl. I’m always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night.”

The issue hits the stands on November 19th.
