Miley Cyrus stopped her tongue-hanging and slight booty shaking for one night last night to commemorate the life of her grandmother. While Rihanna celebrated her grandfather’s 85th birthday with a bash Bajan-style, Miley took a different, more permanent approach: she tattooed her granny’s face on her arm.
The 20-year-old singer added another bit of ink to her extensive collection that includes “Rolling Stone” tattooed on the soles of her feet, and she called in the best in the game: Kat Von D of L.A. Ink fame to get the job done. Kat is known for her talent when it comes to tattooing lively and detailed portraits and the tattoo on Miley’s left forearm is no exception. For the ink, Miley selected a photo of her grandmother in her prime donning a sweater with a slight twinkle in her eye.
The Bangerz singer tweeted a photo of the tattoo with a caption that read, “because i am her favorite & she is mine,” before following up with a photo of her smooching her grandmother: “Still just as beautiful. @thekatvond look who left the house today 🙂 happy birthday Mammie.”
