Senseless gun violence has once again stricken New York in one of it’s biggest tourists attractions.

Corey Dunton was arrested last night in connection to a shooting in Bryant Park’s skating rink after the shooter decided to talk about it on Facebook.

According to The Daily News, the 16-year-old went to the park looking to start trouble and went after Javier Contreras, 20, for his limited edition Marmot Mammoth ‘biggie’ jacket. Contreras was shot in the hand and hips while Adonis Mera, 14, was shot in the back and may be paralyzed  from the waist down. (WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTO BELOW)

After the tragic shooting, police said the teen went on Facebook and bragged about the entire trip. Police were able to find Dunton quickly and after an hour stand-off in the Bronx, Dunton was taken into custody where he will be charged with attempted murder.

Mera is currently at Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. His brother talked to the Daily News with hopes that his little brother can walk again.

‘I didn’t really try to get him to speak,’ Arias, 24, said. ‘I just wanted to see his face. He’s a baby. He’s a little kid.’

Our prayers are with the Mera family at this time.
