Kanye finally addressed his Confederate flag critics.

During his tour stop in Philly, the “Bound 2” rapper stopped by Hot 107.9 to discuss the concept behind his “Yeezus” tour, launching his merch company, and of course, the controversy surrounding his decision to wear the Confederate flag on his clothing.

When asked about the flag controversy, Kanye responded:

“People got bills, don’t nobody care about the Confederate Flag to that type of level. I know that this symbol means this, but I’m just gon’ pay all your bills for one year and I’ma ask you: does it mean that same thing?”

After going on a brief tangent, the “Black Skinhead” rapper continued:

“It’s not the question of racism and symbols, but more of being free as an artist. As an artist, I can use whatever I want to use to create with.”

Kanye’s new “Bound 2” video is scheduled to premiere on Ellen later on this week.
