An off-duty police officer was almost beaten to death by 29-year-old Hayden Holder following a confrontation at a nearby club early Sunday morning.

According to Gawker, Holder and Sgt. Mohammed Deen exchanged words at the club in Jamaica, Queens. The brawl took place a mile away at a nearby diner when the two got out of their cars. Onlookers took pictures and recorded the fight, and yes, you do hear someone screaming “Worldstar” in the background.

Holder proceeds to punch Deen after he’s already unconscious (the 0.35 mark) then runs over to his BMW and tries to punch the windows out while Deen’s wife was inside.

Deen, an 18-year NYPD veteran, suffered critical injuries and is in a medically induced coma at Jamaica Hospital.

Holder’s neighbors talked to the Post on Sunday, with one even noting that the aggressor has a hot temper.

“He gets more hyper when he’s drunk,” Mienkoemar Panchu told the Post, adding that Holder would often smash his empty beer bottles in the street. “Everybody used to keep a distance on the block.”

After confessing to the crime, Holder was arrested and charged with felony assault.
