The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is the latest from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson. The movie is the second in the trilogy, which is an adaptation of the widely popular novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Each of the films in the trilogy tell a story which takes place in Middle-Earth; The Hobbit series is a prequel to The Lord Of The Rings, which Jackson and his partners brought to the silver screen years ago.
The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug continues the story of Bilbo Baggins as he and Wizard Gandalf, accompanied by 13 dwarfs, travel on an incredible journey to reclaim the Lonely Mountain.
