Remember the white supremacist who found out he was part black through DNA testing? Well, that dude, Craig Cobb, was arrested last weekend with fellow neo-Nazi Kynan Dutton after North Dakota residents called 911 to tell police that the men had confronted them with a rifle and a shotgun. They will be charged with three counts of terrorizing. [HuffPost]
Avoiding names but being as blunt as he could about the condition of the GOP, New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie slammed his party on Monday night, telling a group of CEOs that the party suffers from “bad decision-making and a loss of courage.” “What we have in Washington now are absolutists…the recent government shutdown was a train wreck everybody saw coming for months.” [HuffPost]
So this is happening. A group of conservative students at the University of Texas are under fire after planning a “Catch an Illegal Immigrant” event on the school’s campus on Wednesday. And yes, as the name implies, the event will be a mock effort to catch people walking around with “illegal immigrant” pins on. You can then turn those people in for a $25 reward. And the point of it all? “The purpose of this event is to spark a campus-wide discussion about the issue of illegal immigration, and how it affects our everyday lives,” wrote the organizers on the group’s Facebook page. Wow. [ABC]
