2013 has been a phenomenal year for music — one of the best in years, in fact. But how does it stack up against the music that dropped ten years ago, in 2003?

It doesn’t; 2003 was vastly superior.

Look at all the memorable albums that came out that year: Beyonce’s Dangerously in Love; The Black Eyed Peas’ Elephunk50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Trying; Outkast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, Linkin Park’s Meteora, Evanescence’s Fallen and much more.

The albums were great, and the radio was even better. In 2002, stars like Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ja Rule and Nas all put out stellar albums, which means songs from each of those records were in steady rotation.

So to celebrate the glory that is Flashback Friday, we decided to salute 2003 radio.

From all-time classic songs like 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” and R. Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)” to songs made by one hit wonders, like Lumidee’s “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)” and t.A.T.u’s “All the Things She Said,” here is a playlist of what you were jamming to in 2003.

So scroll down, click play and party like it was, uh, 2003!
