Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was a one-of-a-kind woman who made up 1/3 of TLC, one of the best selling girl groups of all time.

Needless to say, after Left Eye died in a 2002 car crash, TLC just hasn’t been the same. The world never stopped missing the politically conscious hip-hop beauty that brought the “crazy” to the crazy, sexy, cool trio.

Last night, the 2013 American Music Awards rubbed some fans the wrong way when rapper Lil Mama replaced Left Eye for a once in a lifetime performance of the group’s hit single “Waterfalls.”

Personally, we appreciate Lil Mama for helping the world remember Left Eye over a decade after she passed.
