Supporting your favorite sports team is always fun…until it turns deadly.

A 28-year-old woman was charged with murder in the killing of a Crimson Tide fan on Saturday.

The sister of victim Michelle Shepherd claims Adrian Laroze Briskey shot her down over the annual Alabama-Auburn football game. The killing occurred outside an apartment complex near Birmingham and came just moments after Alabama lost to archrival Auburn in a last-second thriller.

Nekesa Shepherd said she witnessed the killing. She said Briskey flew into a rage when she saw the sisters and others joking that the Crimson Tide’s loss wasn’t as bad as if the NBA’s Miami Heat had lost.

Shepherd told The Associated Press that the suspect said they weren’t really Alabama fans and started shooting.

Police however, haven’t confirmed that the game was the motive. They are still investigating.
