Russell Simmons, Rev. Al Sharpton, President and CEO of National Urban League Marc H. Morial and Jewish leader Rabbi Marc Schneier are taking a stand against The Knockout Game.

As we previously reported, The Knockout Game has gained national attention after the latest incident was said be a hate crime against the Jewish community in New York City. Now, these leaders and founders of The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding are speaking out against the horrible game through social media and encouraging others to end the random acts of violence with the hashtags: #SayNo2KO, and #gameover.

Rabbi Marc Schneier spoke out about the matter and hopes that others will take a stand as well.

“The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding believes that we must take every opportunity to stand united against bigotry and violence of any kind.”

Simmons commented, “To pick on people because they are Jewish or for any reason is unacceptable.”

Rev. Al Sharpton also came out against the violent phenomenon.

“These kids are targeting innocent people, and in many cases specifically targeting Jewish folks,” he said. “We would not be silent if it were the other way around, and we will not be silent now. This behavior is racist, period. And we will not tolerate it.”

The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding was founded in 1989, in an effort to raise awareness about Black-Jewish relations. For more information, follow the activists on Twitter and visit ffeu.org.
