Chris Brown might be in rehab, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do one of the things he loves to do: help the kids.

The “Look At Me Now” singer was granted a one day pass from court-ordered rehab to hand out toys on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. Breezy served as celebrity host for the toy drive, which is expected to provide a lot of gifts for underprivileged kids.

TMZ explains why Chris was allowed the pass.

As for why Chris got a pass … 2 reasons. It’s a worthy event, and we’re told the rehab folks actually think it will be good for Chris’ treatment — to show how satisfying it is to participate in non-violent activities.

Chris Brown just had his probation revoked by the judge in the Rihanna beating case following charges against him for an incident a few months ago, wherein he allegedly punched a fan in the face. Chris is due back in court in February and could face jail time for violating his probation.

However, Chris has a long history of helping inner city kids through his various foundations, art and dance classes. If he keeps it up, he could avoid further problems and curry favor with his probation judge.
