Beyonce’s album is still on heavy rotation here at the GlobalGrind offices (it’s about the only thing playing in here), so it’s safe to say we’re nowhere near over Bey’s self-proclaimed filthiness. But it seems like Yoncé may have gotten a little too sexy for the prudes.
In one of the 17 videos Beyonce released while we were slumbering last week, she featured supermodels Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls, a bunch of gyrating, crawling, a little licking and a brick wall that nobody even looked at.
During a recent interview on Entertainment Tonight, when Joan Smalls (resident Beyonce-licker) was asked if the visuals for “Yoncé” were too sexy, she responded:
“Noooooo! If you think something is too sexy, you are too boring!”
Boom, just like that! Meanwhile, Necole Bitchie snagged a couple of facts from the director of the “Yoncé” video, and apparently, Joan Smalls was the one who came up with the idea to lick Beyonce. Brave gal.
The Lick was Joan Smalls’ idea:
We were going through takes and it was her and Joan and they were close. And Joan went for the lick and we got it.
Beyonce wanted all black models for the video:
Beyoncé wanted to push that angle — that was her request and concept initially. I think any time you can promote a sense of community and unity and that is natural, you should. All the girls are friends and it was so friendly and there was no ego on set. Everyone was so happy to be there. The girls were incredible. What a great cast. It was spontaneous and not at all contrived.
