LAWD!
Shellie Zimmerman, the estranged wife of George Zimmerman, was injured in a car accident yesterday morning, involving a driver suspected of DUI.
According to reports, the accident took pace around 11:30am in Winter Park, Florida as Shellie was turning on Aloma Avenue from Phelps Avenue when her car was struck by a driver running a red light.
Tom Pearson, spokesman for the Winter Park police says:
“Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were removed by wreckers from the scene,”
He adds:
“The injuries are non-life-threatening. They appeared to be abrasions from the deployment from the airbag.”
Pearson says the driver of the other vehicle was arrested on the scene and charged with driving under the influence.
