One of the four teenagers who posed in front of a car in Beirut for a group selfie has died after suffering serious injuries after the same car exploded by bomb.

On Friday in Beirut, Lebanon, 16-year-old Mohammad al-Chaar was found lying on the concrete just moments after the selfie photo of the teens was taken.

He was found with a serious bloody injury on his head, and was later pronounced dead when he was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The Huffington Post reports:

Chaar had been identified online as one of four youths seen posing in a group selfie posted on social media networks in front of the car that exploded moments later.

The picture went viral on the Internet, and the confirmation of his death sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.

Lebanon’s official NNA news agency say:

“The number of victims from the attack has risen to seven after the death of young Mohammad al-Chaar this morning, succumbing to his injuries at the American Hospital in Beirut,”

We pray for the other victims of the car bombing, as well as Mohammad’s family.
