A 13-year-old in Chicago has been charged with killing his 16-year-old cousin after an argument stemming from an Xbox got out of control.

The teen was charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder on Monday. He is expected to appear in juvenile court later today.

According to the Chicago Tribune

The 13-year-old shot his cousin, Raymond Galloway, while he was sleeping around 5:50 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East 38th Place, police said. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to authorities.

The 13-year old, whose name has not yet been released, admitted to police that his mother was present when the shooting took place. It is unclear where the boy acquired the firearm.

No adults have been charged.
