A$AP Rocky is probably tired of answering the same answer about how he would describe his personal style, “A mix between high-end and streetwear,” but that doesn’t mean publications will stop asking. Most recently, Rocky was tapped for a feature in Teen Vogue magazine alongside model Kyra Green, and answered it once again.
For the shoot, Rocky was styled in bow ties, skinny jeans and bucket hats with his cornrows styled in box braids, but, maybe Teen Vogue’s corresponding interview points out why Rocky isn’t exactly understood by their audience. The article, which lives in the Ariana Grande covered issue on newsstands now, reads:
“As the evening unfolds, I realize Rocky’s not your typical rapper. Yes, he’s decked out in a Balenciaga varsity jacket, a Supreme hoodie, and multicolored Raf Simons kicks. But there’s no entourage in sight; only a lone assistant, A$AP Lou, follows with Rocky’s sleek Goyard travel bag on his arm.”
Humm, are all rappers cut from the same band-wearing, gun-toting cloth? We’re going to go with no for that one.
