Last night’s People’s Choice Awards put statue season in motion, as they rolled out the red carpet for the people’s favorites during the two-hour award show.
All the makings of a perfect awards show were in place; Britney Spears was on the scene looking ravishing in a nude embellished dress as she picked up her very first People’s Choice Award. Her ex Justin Timberlake collected a few accolades of his own, however, there were no denim suits between the pair to be seen. Bummer.
But if there was any takeaway from the People’s Choice Awards, it was this: Sandra Bullock swept the entire night, and then teetered away in her Kurt Geiger ‘Bond’ pumps and her Peter Piloto dress…because she is amazing.
Sandra was the woman of the night as she picked up awards for her films The Heat and Gravity, including wins for Favorite Comedic Actress, Favorite Dramatic Movie, Favorite Movie Duo, Favorite Dramatic Actress and a number of others.
Jennifer Hudson was also on the scene to accept the favorite humanitarian award with her sister Julia for the foundation the pair started in the name of Julia’s son, Julian D. King, after his 2008 murder. And while JHud’s body looked flawless swaddled in a KaufmanFranco Spring 2014 dress, it was her emotional speech that had everyone’s attention.
