You know… this judicial system of ours is proving to be more and more questionable.

This dad could be spending the first half of 2014 behind bars for overpaying child support AND seeing his son too often — breaking terms that were changed without his knowledge.

Last November, Clifford Hall’s child support payments were paid in full but sometime between then and now, the child support agreement between Hall and his wife was modified without his knowledge. So Hall wound up overpaying by $3,000, a fact that Harris County District Court Judge Lisa Millard found contemptible.

But that’s not all. He also apparently saw his son too much. Another term that was modified without his knowledge was his visitation schedule.

Hall told FOX 26 Houston:

“When she said I remand you to the Harris County Jail for 180 days my mouth just dropped,”

It gets even worse. In addition to the six month jail sentence, Judge Millard is forcing Hall to also pay his ex-wife’s attorney fees.

WTF!

“I can’t be there for my son in jail,” Hall said. “I can’t pay child support in jail. This is not in the best interest of the child.”

Hall’s attorney is currently working on an appeal. Hopefully it goes through because this sh*t cray!
