The Miami Heat took a trip to the White House for the second time in two years to celebrate their latest NBA title. From cracking jokes with POTUS, to Gabrielle Union’s cute photobomb, the event proved that Obama can kick it with LeBron and D-Wade – even if he wasn’t with them shooting in the gym.
According to the Washington Post, Obama was happy to see the team win for the second time, but also let them know that his beloved Chicago Bulls have a season record of 72 straight winning games against their 66 run.
Obama welcomed them by joking that “nothing brings people together like the Miami Heat.” Although he said “it was wonderful to see them then [last year] and it’s wonderful to see them now.”
The President also received a special jersey, along with a basketball featuring the team’s signatures. Check out some more pics of the trip in the gallery below.
