If American Apparel has foresight as good as their production values, the days of waxing from the rooter to the tooter may be behind us. The clothing company, known for their racy ads and American-made clothing, decided to keep their mannequins warm in the nether regions while they’re modeling Valentine’s Day lingerie.

The Gothamist spotted an interesting display at the brand’s location in New York City at the East Houston Street location, featuring mannequins rocking hair up there and hair down there in sheer negligees – but they didn’t do it for shock value. According to the company, they did it to reject all that airbrushed vaj nonsense the magazines try to sell…and because bush is back.

According to American Apparel:

American Apparel is a company that celebrates natural beauty, and the Lower East Side Valentine’s Day window continues that celebration. We created it to invite passerbys to explore the idea of what is ‘sexy’ and consider their comfort with the natural female form. This is the same idea behind our advertisements which avoid many of the photoshopped and airbrushed standards of the fashion industry. So far we have received positive feedback from those that have commented and we’re looking forward to hearing more points of view.

Bush or no bush? What’s your preference?
