It’s 2014 and many may not realize that as the years go on, we’re getting old!

If little Hannah Montana twerkin’ in a two-piece leather body suit doesn’t make you feel old, then maybe hearing some of your favorite songs from 10 years ago will. A decade may seem like a lifetime ago to some, but the nostalgia of hearing your favorite tune from 2004 can take you back to exactly what you were doing when you first heard it.

Can you believe that it’s been 10 years since Kelis‘ milkshake brought all the boys to the yard and Gwen Stefani taught us how to spell BANANAS? Neither can we. But if you think that’s crazy, here’s a list of our 14 favorite songs that are turning 10 in 2014:

1. Britney Spears “Toxic”

“Toxic” earned Britney her first Grammy at the 2005 ceremony.

2. Ciara “Goodies”

“Goodies” put mom-to-be Ciara on the map back in ’04 and made her known as the princess of Crunk & B.

3. Kelis “Milkshake”

“Milkshake” made Kelis a Grammy-nominated artist back in 2004.

4. Gwen Stefani “Hollaback Girl”

Gwen made it easy for everyone to spell B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

5. Maroon 5 “This Love”

“This Love” became the third most played song in 2004.

6. Snoop Dogg “Drop It Like It’s Hot”

“Drop It” became Snoop Dogg’s first number one on the Billboard Charts.

7. Kelly Clarkson “Since U Been Gone”

Music critics consider “Since U Been Gone” one of the best pop songs of the last decade.

8. Kanye West “Jesus Walks”

“Jesus Walks” was named the 6th best song of 2004 and Kanye won the Grammy for Best Rap Song in 2004.

9. Ashlee Simpson “Pieces Of Me”

“Pieces Of Me” was the first single from Ashlee Simpson’s debut album and introduced her talents to the world.

10. Jay Z “Dirt Off Ya Shoulder”

“Dirt Off Ya Shoulder” was combined with Linkin Park’s “Lying From You” for their mash-up album, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts.

11. Green Day “American Idiot”

“American Idiot” was a hit in 2004 and garnered Green Day four Grammy nominations.

12. Linkin Park “Numb”

“Numb” became one of Linkin Park’s most critically acclaimed songs, as well as one of their most commercially successful.

13. Outkast “The Way You Move”

“The Way You Move” peaked at number one on the Billboard Charts. It was named the 22nd most successful song of the 2000s.

14. No Doubt “It’s My Life”

“It’s My Life” remained in the top 10 for 28 consecutive weeks in 2004.
