The very tangled mess surrounding the Aaron Hernandez murder case just got a lot messier.

Alexander Bradley, the man who claims that the former New England Patriot shot him in the face back in February 2013, was again the victim of gun violence outside a nightclub in Hartford, Connecticut over the weekend. Bradley then proceeded to grab a gun out of his vehicle and fire 11 shots in retaliation.

Bradley was shot multiple times in his leg during a dispute outside of Vevo Lounge Bar & Grill. He is expected to recover, but his arraignment regarding the Hernandez case was canceled this afternoon due to medical reasons.

Hartford Lt. Brian Foley also revealed that Bradley is being charged with criminal use of a firearm, reckless endangerment in the first degree, stealing a firearm, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Bradley, 31, has been entangled in the legal troubles surrounding Hernandez. Once a star tight end for the Patriots, Hernandez is facing a murder charge in the June 2013 murder of Odin L. Lloyd of Boston. He is also being investigated by authorities for possible involvement in a July 2012 double slaying in Boston’s South End.

Bradley has been called to testify to grand juries in both of the cases. In addition, he has filed a civil lawsuit saying that Hernandez shot and wounded him in Florida in February 2013.

The incident comes just a day before prosecutors decided to remove Carlos Ortiz as a witness in the case against Hernandez, because he kept changing his story regarding the killing of Odin Lloyd.
