Sports and entertainment has never looked so good.
The two worlds came together during Super Bowl weekend at Kevin Liles’ 4th Annual Sports and Entertainment Ceremony in NYC, which honored San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Robert Quinn of the St. Louis Rams.
Celebrities like R&B singer Estelle, Selita Ebanks, and X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke were there to celebrate along with Kaepernick, who was humbled by the turnout: “It’s an amazing group of people here and to have the little bit of time with them here is a great honor.”
Liles, who has honored past NFL players Cam Newton and Dwight Freeney, presented Kaepernick with a special award for his work on the field.
“I wanted to let you know that I feel and the rest of the sports and entertainment industry feel that you are a rising star,” said Liles. “You’re not only somebody that cares about things on the field, but off the field.”
