Rising actress Dakota Johnson is covering ELLE Magazine’s March issue – and she’s not holding anything back.
Dakota made news last year when she snagged the starring role of Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey. Well, it’s safe to say that the 24-year-old actress is already in character and channeling her inner sexy for a new ELLE photoshoot.
In the magazine spread, Dakota’s style ranges from seductive se(x)cretary to go-go chic. From playful pastels to risqué bras and thigh-highs, Melanie Griffith’s daughter poses shamelessly and speaks candidly about her polarizing role in the S&M-filled book.

On her character Anastasia:
“Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes,” the future Anastasia Steele admitted. “I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down”
On what it’s really like to grow up having famous parents:
“I think people, especially the press, like to pick on children of famous people and I think that’s fucking awful. Things get made up. It’s so, so sad. And there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it as a 16-year-old. You’re like….Why? What did I do?”
On her personal life:
“I don’t have any problem doing anything,” she said. “The secret is I have no shame.”
