When it comes to life, it’s sometimes best to not take it too seriously. For their Fall/Winter 2014 collection, Wildfox drew some inspiration from that very idea, showing off looks that appeared to be cozy and effortless, while reminding us that style can be as fun as we allow it to be.

On the eve of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City, fashionistas, celebs like Skylar Grey and Nicky Hilton, and some of our favorite fashion bloggers, including Aimee Song of Song of Style, flocked to Pier 59 for the first-ever Wildfox runway show.

Inspired by classic author Jane Austen and the country of England, Wildfox Creative Director Kimberley Gordon presented rosy-cheeked and messy-haired models in statement-making sweaters and tees. There were also plenty of floral accents in the prints, hair, and even sticking out of socks.

Trends spotted: Graphic tops, slouchy sweaters, overalls, vintage, pastel colors.

My rating: This Wildfox collection is perfect for the girl whose style walks the line between casual, yet cool. My wardrobe has plenty room for these pieces.

My favorite look: A T-shirt with an ode to a popular Jane Austen novel, ruffled floral-print shorts and a knitted baseball-style cardigan paired with boots was just one look I loved head-to-toe. But, I have to admit how much I took a liking to the “I need a drink” sweater because, don’t we all?
