If you’re eating right now, you might want to stop before reading this.

A Northern California company has recalled A LOT of meat that it’s distributed after it was discovered that it came from “diseased and unsound” animals.

According to CNN, the animals were not properly inspected, and this only adds to the large recall that occurred on January 13 this year, when over 40,000 pounds of the Rancho Feeding Corporation products were recalled.

The site reports:

According to the U.S. agency, Rancho Feeding “processed diseased and unsound animals and carried out these activities without the benefit or full benefit of federal inspection.”

“Thus, the products are adulterated, because they are unsound, unwholesome or otherwise are unfit for human food and must be removed from commerce,” the FSIS reported. The Petaluma company made the recall.

The government agency noted there are no reported illnesses tied to these products, which went to distribution centers and retail establishments in California, Florida, Illinois and Texas. It was not immediately clear which companies got them, or whether they ended up being sold in some form at any markets or restaurants.

The FSIS also stated that consuming any of these products could result in “serious, adverse health consequences or death.”

In case you want to be able to recognize whether you have meat from this company, check to see if the inspection mark is of “EST. 527” and if it was purchased between January 1-January 7.

Ehhhh, we won’t be eating any meat for awhile.
