For shock value or nah?
Actor Shia LaBeouf showed up to the Berlin International Film Festival for the premiere of his film Nymphomaniac Volume I in bizarre style.
To complete his red carpet look, he wore an all black tuxedo, a black bow tie … and a brown paper bag over his head that read, “I am not famous anymore.” LaBeouf has been tweeting those exact words since January 13th and according to him, he’s “retiring from public life.”
Shia is known for his odd behavior, and has engaged in several Twitter beefs, most recently with actor Alec Baldwin and filmmaker/actress Lena Dunham.
Perhaps this tweet explains his recent outrageous behavior:
In light of the recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life.

Shia landed in hot water last year for allegedly plagiarizing comic artist Daniel Clowes in his directorial debut, HowardCantour.com, and then plagiarizing his apology for doing so.
We’re not sure what to think anymore, Shia.
